Three

In order to thwart
possible May Day attacks
police conducted at least
60 raids across Istanbul.

In one early morning
raid on an apartment
block in the Bostanci
area shooting broke out.

A leader of the
“Revolutionary Headquarters” was killed.
A civilian and a
police officer also died.

Some officers were wounded
when the “leftist, separatist,
radicals” threw bombs in
response. A television cameraman

is among the injured.
In Iceland prime minister
Johanna Sigurdardottir claims
victory for leftist coalition.
