So two weeks ago I added a batch of paperbacks to the browsing collection.
I made a couple guesses and David (in comments) left a guess, and Kent (offline) made a guess. None of us were right.
The first book from the batch that got checked out was:
Phillip Margolin - Executive Privilege
The next day another went out:
Amanda Quick - The Third Circle
And two days later:
Daniel Silva - The Mark of the Assassin

And I've never read any of those authors.
Quick does well on the Romance browsing racks - where I would have put Third Circle but for its being too tall to fit. "Amanda Quick" is a pen name for Jayne Ann Krentz. I don't know what distinguishes the Quick from the Krentz.
I don't know Margolin or Silva, except for their names seeming vaguely familiar.
